David Givens
General
Manager |
|
|
David Givens joined the Hotel in
2008 as General Manager. Prior to
joining the Hilton Waikiki Prince
Kuhio Hotel, Mr. Givens served as
general manager for Interstate
Hotels, serving a number of their
properties including Marriott,
Sheraton, Hilton, and Doral. Most
recently, Mr. Givens held the
position of general manager at the
529-room Sheraton Fisherman’s Wharf
in San Francisco. His hospitality
career also includes management
positions for Richfield Hotel
Management, Amfac Hotels & Resorts
(Royal Lahaina Resort, Maui,
Hawaii), as well Ritz Carlton
Hotels.
Givens is a graduate of Cornell
University’s Hotel School and has
been awarded various achievements,
such as “Metro Hotel Property of the
Year” while at the Hilton DFW Lakes
Executive Conference Center, and
“Rooms Division Manager of the Year”
during his time at Richfield Hotels.
He has severed on a number of
prestigious boards, including the
Hotel Council of San Francisco,
Cornell Hotel Society, and the
Leukemia Society of Houston. |
Dexter
Sonomura
Director

Dexter
S. Sonomura joined
the Hotel in 2005
and oversees
and manages the hotel's
accounting and financial
responsibilities.
Dexter
 Sonomura,
a
University of Hawaii graduate
and certified public accountant,
previously worked at Sheraton Hotels
in Hawaii and at the W Honolulu
Diamond Head hotel.
He also worked in management and
accounting at The Gentry Cos, Martin
Warehousing and distribution, and
Waterhouse, Inc. |
Janelle
Cram
Director
of Sales and Marketing |

Janelle Cram joined the hotel in
2009 as the Director of Sales and
Marketing. With nearly 20 years of
experience, working for leading
hotel management and major hotel
brands including positions with
Hilton Hotels. Following her time
with Hilton, Cram was hired by Omni
Hotels as the Director of Sales &
Marketing for their downtown Los
Angeles location, and was promoted
to Omni's flagship hotel in Irving,
Texas, the Omni Mandalay. Most
recently Cram served as a Regional
Director of Sales & Marketing for
Prism Hotels based in Dallas.
Cram is an active member of
Hospitality Sales and Marketing
Association International. Being a
dedicated participant in business
and community related boards and
organizations, and is looking
forward to contributing her skills
and support to local committees here
in Hawaii. |
Anthony
Espiritu
Director
of Engineering and Maintenance |

Mr.
Espiritu joined the Hotel in 1997,
and is responsible for the
maintenance and safety of the entire
property.
As the Hilton Waikiki
Prince Kuhio is being renovated, he
serves as the project management and
coordinator for the renovation. |
Viktor
Schmidt, CEC
Executive Chef |

Viktor Schmidt joined the Hotel in 2007
as Executive Chef of the hotel and
its signature restaurant, MAC 24/7.
Most recently, Chef Viktor managed
the culinary operation of a Hilton
property of similar size, and is a
respected food and hospitality
veteran. Schmidt has nearly thirty
years of food experience, and was
most recently Executive Chef at the
Hilton Anchorage, and 600-room
hotel. In this capacity, he created
and implemented concepts and menus,
as well as managed the entire food
and beverage department of the
property. In 2006, he was named Chef
of the Year by the Alaska
Hospitality Association.
